Often times in life, we believe that the first, the original, is better than the second. Whether it be a movie, a band's discography, or a new author's trilogy, we often believe the first is the best.
However, in the Bible, we discover a pattern of the second being better than the first. And we see this pattern continue in the establishment of Israel's first king.
