Living the Gospel (The Gospel #3)

So far in this series called “The Gospel,” we have seen the importance of continually learning the gospel so that we can think the gospel. But the purpose for allowing the gospel to be a filter to our way of thinking is to impact our way of living. The Scriptures do not teach us the gospel simply to fill our heads with the story of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. The Bible shows us how the gospel is to impact our everyday lives and relationships.

In this third part of “The Gospel” series, Pastor Erin Bird takes us through Ephesians 4:1-6, showing us exactly how God calls us to “live the gospel,” which will impact our relationships at home, at work, and even in our churches.

Looking Back Looking Forward (Riverwood’s 3rd Birthday)

Have you ever looked at a decision and said in your head “I can’t do that!” or “That’s not possible”?

In the book of Numbers chapter 13, we see the Israelites, upon hearing some hard news, adopt a mentality of “impossible!” But in the midst of the people saying, “we can’t!” there were two men who looked toward God and said, “we can!”

On it’s third birthday, Riverwood looked at the story of the twelve spies from Numbers 12, and the topic of faith. Let’s take a look and see how we as the Riverwood family should live with faith in God.

All Parts Matter (Gift-Ed #3)

For centuries upon centuries, humans have judged one another and themselves, creating a type of hierarchy of who is more important  than someone else. We judge people based on their outward appearance, by how much money they make, by how smart they appear to be… And we come to conclusions of who is more valuable.

But to God, all people matter. And when you truly understand this and live it out, you will see remarkable things take place.

So if you are the type of person who wants to have deep friendships or be part of something like a church that can be life changing, then listen in.
