This email is going out to a ton of awesome people who have supported Riverwood prayerfully and financially since 2012. The reason I am emailing out of the blue is because I wanted to let you know that Riverwood is turning 10 years old this weekend! We launched on Easter Sunday (April 20) in 2014, and we have seen God do some wonderful things over those ten years.

So I’d like to say two things:

1. THANK YOU! We truly could not have gotten here without you. The statistics for parachute church plants without a sending church are a bit grim, so for Riverwood to reach 10 is a testimony to God’s goodness and faithfulness, and I am grateful you allowed Him to use you to help us begin and continue this mission of inviting the spiritually disconnected to find and follow Christ.

2. We’d love to have you celebrate with us! We are holding a Worship Night THIS Saturday, April 20, at 6:00 pm. So if you live within driving distance, we’d love to have you join us. If you can’t make it Saturday night, but could join us Sunday morning (April 21), we start at 9:30 am. While our Worship Gathering will be fairly normal, we will be celebrating 10 years afterwards with cupcakes. If you can’t make Sunday morning but still want to “connect," we livestream our morning Worship Gatherings on our website at WeAreRiverwood.org. (But just a heads up - our livestream isn’t very fancy!)

Whether you make it or not in person or online, again, I want to thank you for whatever part you played in helping Riverwood reach this milestone. We are truly looking forward to the next 10 years!
