Even though Jesus told them what would happen, some still doubted what had happened.
This is similar to “Doubting Thomas”
There are two different types of doubters:
“The Daily Doubter” - potentially attends church, familiar wtih the story and still doubts the truth of Christ.
“Circumstantial Doubter” - you know Jesus is real but life’s circumstances cause all sorts of doubt.
Proclaimation
Jesus says that “all authority in heaven and on earth” has been given to him. This is contrary to the mentality that many of us have that “we’ve got this.” Instead “He’s got this.”
Mandate
Since Jesus has all authority, we are told to make desciples of all nations.
If we are called to follow Jesus, we are called to be disciple-makers.
Next Steps:
Dig into God’s Word and really get to know it
Persue Biblical community
Spend quality time with people who don’t yet know Christ
