When the rich, young ruler approached Christ and asked "What must I do to be saved," Jesus responded by telling the young ruler to give away everything he owns and follow Him. Even the disciples were surprised when Jesus comments how it is harder for a camel to go through the eye of the needle than it is for a rich man to enter heaven.
