Story (How to BLESS #5)

People LOVE stories. We read them in books, watch them at the theater, and exchange them around the water cooler. But did you know that if you are a Jesus-follower, your spiritual story might actually “bless” someone?

In this final message in the How to Bless sermon series, Pastor Erin Bird shares a story from John 9 that will encourage you, if you are a follower of Jesus, to share your story.

Sharing the Gospel with Joy and Confidence

Most people naturally share that which pleases them. We typically don’t hesitate to share about a movie we enjoyed, or a great new restaurant we visited.

Guest teacher and Riverwood “missionary” Patrick Ray, a church planter from North Minneapolis, shows us from John 1 that when people met Jesus, they got excited and couldn’t help but tell others. If you are a Jesus-follower, may this message inspire you to find joy in Jesus, so you, too, can share Him with confidence.

An Incarnational Life (An Incarnational Christmas #3)

Many Americans love to drive around town in December looking at Christmas lights. (We are like bugs drawn to the light!) Why? Perhaps because light, while it is outside of us, does something within us. Light gives us some joy, a bit of hope, and a sense of awe.

Maybe this is why Jesus is called “the Light of the World.”

In this third part of our teaching series “An Incarnational Christmas” we discover that Jesus, as the light, has come to give us joy, hope, and awe. But his incarnation does more than just give us light. It also changes how we live.

So listen in to “An Incarnational Life.”

An Incarnational Mirror (An Incarnational Christmas #2)

Our view of self as humans vacillates wildly. We shift from thinking we are one of the most awesome persons on earth to one of the worst people to have ever lived. (And sometimes we even think all of that on the same day!)

But the Incarnation of Jesus actually addresses our view of self, helping us see who we really are in the eyes of God. And that view will simultaneously humble us and embolden us as humans.

So listen in to better understand who you are and who you are meant to be.
