One week in! Today is Day 8 in our 21 Days of Prayer. Hopefully you’ve had a great week in God’s Word, as well as discovering (or being reminded of) the awesomeness of Christ through the Jesus devotional booklet. (If you didn’t get a devotional booklet, there are a few left. Feel free to grab one on Sunday or swing by the office on Friday.)
If you have already fallen behind in your reading, here is what we recommend…
Another note: while the “Special Articles” at the end of each week in the devotional guide are really good, don’t feel pressure to read them if you lack the time. Make the daily readings the priority.
Lastly, keep going with your fast. If you’ve already “slipped,” don’t worry about it. Today is a new day! Remember, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning” (Lamentations 3:22-23a, ESV). So enjoy God's mercy and begin anew with your fast. As Erin talked about in his Dec. 28 sermon, fasting helps create the opportunity for God to give you an “unexpected holy moment.”
