This passage is mostly set in Antioch which was potentially the 3rd largest city in Israel.
Some of the people that arrived, preached only to the Jews. Some, however, start talking about Jesus to the non-Jews. Many of those non-Jews that heard believed.
Antioch later becomes one of the key areas for the growth of Christianity in the region and is where the term “Christian” was coined.
